Regular price $350.00

Quilts make wonderful milestone gifts for those big moments that are celebrations of family, friends, or accomplishments in life. My quilts are heirloom quality and built to last a lifetime. I would suggest this quilt be used as a an artistic wall hanging, couch throw quilt, or small bed quilt for babies or toddler or elderly loved ones who need a lap blanket in their lives to brighten up their space, or anything else your heart can dream up!

*Measures 52" x 56"
*TOP is a one of a kind, improvisational design, based loosely off of a chevron style. I created all of these colors by dying my own fabric in small batches in my in-house studio.
*INSIDE is batting made from 50% bamboo fibers and 50% certified organic cotton. The softest and most luxurious batting I have ever used and is densely woven so it will last for years and years and not pull apart inside the quilt. Bamboo is a quick growing, sustainable resource that is naturally antibacterial.
*BACK is hand-dyed organic cotton in a pretty watermelon red shade.
*BINDING is a natural cotton like the rest of the quilt, handmade in a double French fold style with organic cotton. It is hand-sewn onto the back of the quilt for a professional, clean finish.
*Machine pieced and quilted by me with cotton thread.
*EASY CARE: If using a machine, wash and dry on delicate settings, or hand wash with gentle detergent and hang to dry.

WHY ORGANIC?? Cotton is used for 50% of the world's fiber needs. Unless you buy organic cotton, it is grown using tons of pesticides and fertilizers. Conventional cotton grown with toxic chemicals accounts for 25% of the world's insecticide use and 10% of the pesticide use. At least 4 of the top 9 chemicals used in treating cotton are considered by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) to be highly carcinogenic too!! Organic cotton is grown without the use of pesticides or fertilizers and is therefore better for the land, the farmers, and for your own well-being. Please research these materials if you have any further questions about their use or environmental benefits. I chose to use this in my work because working with fiber is a very dusty process and I wanted to minimize myself and my family's exposure to these harmful chemicals since we are all exposed to it on a daily basis at my in-house studio.

Made in my smoke-free, pet-free, in-home studio.
