Ice-Dyed Organic Cotton Thermal Blanket #001
STYLE: Ice-Dyed Organic Thermal Cotton
Super light weight blanket would make a great blanket for those summer days or for hot sleepers. It is one layer of thermal cotton and is very soft and breathable. This would make a great lightweight blanket for a crib, toddler bed, or for a kid who just needs a little extra snuggling on the go. Please message me if you need a different size than is listed and I can make a custom order for you.
**Blankets are available in only one size for these ice dyed prints, but feel free to contact me for a quote on larger sizes.
**Edges are serged first, then turned under and stitched to endure lots of washing.
**Blanket is made from high quality organic materials and features hand-dyed colors. I do all of the dying myself with non-toxic procion fabric dyes on organic cotton. The cotton is bought from Organic Cotton Company and the dye is from Dharma Trading Post, both companies based here in the USA. Sustainability and environmentally friendly practices are central to all of my work.
**Variations will occur in the hand dying process, which adds to (not detracts from!) the charm of this item. It is very difficult to capture all of the color variation in photos, but I do try.
Suggested Care: Machine wash warm or cool on a gentle setting, using phosphate-free detergent. Tumble dry low.
WHY ORGANIC?? Cotton is used for 50% of the world's fiber needs. Unless you buy organic cotton, it is grown using tons of pesticides and fertilizers. Conventional cotton grown with toxic chemicals accounts for 25% of the world's insecticide use and 10% of the pesticide use. At least 4 of the top 9 chemicals used in treating cotton are considered by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) to be highly carcinogenic too!! Organic cotton is grown without the use of pesticides or fertilizers and is therefore better for the land, the farmers, and for your own well-being.
Made in my smoke-free in-home studio.
