Hand-Dyed Organic Cotton Quilt - DIVIDED SKY
Measures 40" x 54" Indigo Divided Sky
Modern quilt featuring hand-dyed organic cottons. This funky, heirloom-quality quilt would make a great couch quilt or wall hanging for adults, or a fun quilt or play mat for little ones. The front is vibrant and colorful, while the back is soft and peaceful. This quilt is reversible and can be used with either side as the featured quilt.
ABOUT THE QUILT:
*TOP is a one of a kind piece from our hand dyed fabric collection. This is certainly one of a kind and I couldn't repeat this, even if I wanted to.
*INSIDE is all natural batting that I absolutely love, made from 50% bamboo fibers and 50% certified organic cotton. The softest and most luxurious batting I have ever used and is densely woven so it will last for years and years and not pull apart inside the quilt. Bamboo is a quick growing, sustainable resource that is naturally antibacterial.
*BACK is 100% GOTS certified organic cotton in an unbleached, natural shade. Actually, the back is the fabric BEFORE it is dyed, which I think pairs really cool with the front. Like a before and after snapshot.
*BINDING is made from same indigo blue organic cotton in a double French fold style and is hand stitched to the back in a classic and timeless fashion.
*Machine quilted for style and durability.
EASY CARE: This quilt is machine washable (as are 99% of my quilts), but to ensure the longevity of your quilt, I recommend washing it on a cold, delicate cycle and either hanging on a sunny clothes line to dry or tumbling dry on low heat. Quilts are usually pre-washed by me when they are completed with phosphate-free detergent and come soft, snuggly, and ready to use.

WHY ORGANIC?? Cotton is used for 50% of the world's fiber needs. Unless you buy organic cotton, it is grown using tons of pesticides and fertilizers. Conventional cotton grown with toxic chemicals accounts for 25% of the world's insecticide use and 10% of the pesticide use. At least 4 of the top 9 chemicals used in treating cotton are considered by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) to be highly carcinogenic too!! Organic cotton is grown without the use of pesticides or fertilizers and is therefore better for the land, the farmers, and for your own well-being. Please research these materials if you have any further questions about their use or environmental benefits.
Made in my smoke-free, pet-free, in-home studio.
